Bought two of the 2L VectoX bags for backpacking and camping trips, and used it most recently as a gravity set up for a 3 day trip in the Enchantments. Love these bags! Feel super durable compared to the default Sawyer Squeeze bags, slider opening makes filling them much faster and simpler, and the gravity set up with the coupling simplifies it all. Highly recommend and is my new go-to setup.
Took it on a 6 day hike in the Wind River Range in WY, and it held up beautifully and functioned great in conjunction with a Sawyer squeeze filter. This bag is such a huge improvement over the bags which come with the Sawyer filter. I brought one of those along just in case, but of course didn’t need it. This bag is supple and more elastic than the std. Sawyer bag, and this one feels much nicer when using (the elasticity lends itself to squeezing water through). Of course filling it is way easier and I had no sissies with leaks. Great product. I went with the heavier-duty material because I didn’t want to take any chances, and the weight difference didn’t seem significant in my circumstances. I look forward to many more trips with this bag. Also, of the six other guys I went in my trip with, five were using the same setup (cnoc+sawyer). I’m not sure if the other bags were the heavier material or not, but no one experienced any issues with leaks or failures of their cnoc bags.
I had the regular vecto at first and had issues with pinholes. CNOC support was outstanding and I am so pleased with the X! No holes and feels much more substantial
My wife and I just did a 2 day - 26 mile 3500' elevation gain hike in PA. Lots of little springs and babbling brooks here and there. This bag made water collection a super easy experience even with tiny springs. Its a fantastic product, whether your gravity feeding or squeezing. The seems feel robust and quite durable. I do not regret my purchase in the slightest. Can't wait to get more uses in.
I used the 2 liter bag with the Sawyer squeeze water filter when I thru hiked the JMT and many other trails and I was very pleased with its performance. I bought the 3 liter VectoX recently just to have a bag with more volume.
