I had the regular vecto at first and had issues with pinholes. CNOC support was outstanding and I am so pleased with the X! No holes and feels much more substantial
My wife and I just did a 2 day - 26 mile 3500' elevation gain hike in PA. Lots of little springs and babbling brooks here and there. This bag made water collection a super easy experience even with tiny springs. Its a fantastic product, whether your gravity feeding or squeezing. The seems feel robust and quite durable. I do not regret my purchase in the slightest. Can't wait to get more uses in.
I used the 2 liter bag with the Sawyer squeeze water filter when I thru hiked the JMT and many other trails and I was very pleased with its performance. I bought the 3 liter VectoX recently just to have a bag with more volume.
I have had to CNOC 3L bags. The first lasted me a couple years of heavy use before I gave it to another long distance hiker when I upgraded. I bought a VectoX because I'm hard on gear. The VectoX is noticeably tougher. Not only is the bag thicker, the plastic part that closes the bag is as well. That is important to me because that's where I broke it last time (gravity filtering). I have no hesitation to load a 3L bag of water into my pack in this. 3L is also enough for a 5+ minute field shower if you make a showerhead by puting a hot needle through a bottlecap. I love that CNOC sells parts as well, so you save money and prevent used but good products ending up in the landfill.
I've only owned the 3L bag, but I suspect their other products are great.
10/10 recommend this product!
I use the Sawyer Squeeze Filter, after using the bags that came with it I said to myself "there has to be a better way" well cnoc, you nailed it! After using it for 2 years it makes collecting and processing water a breeze. I use mine as a gravity feed system and haven't developed any pinhole leaks or blowouts. With "proper" care I expect many years of use.
